Job summary

HCA Florida Citrus Hospital is seeking a Charge Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical unit. You will provide clinical leadership, oversee Med/Surg patient care, and ensure high-quality, efficient services in a collaborative team.

The role emphasizes nursing expertise, critical thinking, and strong communication, with opportunities to influence patient outcomes and participate in hospital councils and nursing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse; compact license ok with Florida activation within 60 days.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Current BLS required.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, service excellence and strong interpersonal communication; able to read and follow written and verbal instructions; proficient with PC systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for Med/Surg patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patient records, including tests and exam results.
• Administer medications according to physician orders.
• Provide leadership to the nursing team during the designated shift.
