Job summary

Humboldt General Hospital in Winnemucca, NV is seeking a professional registered nurse to provide care in the medical/surgical, telemetry, ICU and pediatric units, coordinating with physicians and supervising support staff.

The role requires an active Nevada RN license, current BLS, ACLS and PALS within 6 months, with the ability to manage high‑acuity patients and to float as needed in a busy hospital setting.

A BSN is preferred; ongoing education is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Active Nevada RN license or Interim Permit from Nevada State Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of employment.
• PALS certification within 6 months of employment.
• Procedural sedation course within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical competency in medical/surgical and critical care.
• Assists physicians with examinations, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care.
• Documents patient care and procedures/interventions accurately and thoroughly in accordance with hospital standards.
• Maintains knowledge of regulatory standards.
• Demonstrates skill and accuracy in hospital computer application.
