Job summary

Wellstar Kennestone Hospital is seeking an RN Charge on the Med/Surg CDU for full-time night shift (7pm–7am). The Charge Nurse directs daily unit activities, manages patient assignments, and collaborates with physicians to ensure safe, high-quality care under WellStar governance and nursing practice standards.

The role requires active RN licensure in GA (or compact), leadership experience, and a commitment to evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in GA or compact state.
• Minimum education: ADN or Diploma; BSN preferred.
• Experience as a charge nurse or in a leadership role encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily unit activities on the assigned shift.
• Assign patients and beds with coordination with surgery schedule.
• Round with physicians; monitor patient flow and bed availability.
