Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum one year of nursing experience required.
  • RN licensure in the State of New Mexico or a Compact State.
  • Degree from an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN/MSN).
  • BLS certification required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff during assigned shifts.
  • Coordinate patient care activities including admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Assign and adjust nursing staff assignments based on patient acuity and staff competency.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nurses, promoting best practices in patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and infection control guidelines.
  • Facilitate communication between nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
  • Monitor patient care quality and safety, addressing any concerns promptly.
