• BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire.
• ACLS, PALS or other specialty certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Charge RN will provide clinical and operational shift supervision of care processes including patient flow, quality and safety.
• May provide direct patient care as needed.
• Lead unit staff in designated service area(s); collaborate with Nursing Director, Managers and leadership team.
• Support Surgical Specialty Unit post-op care for 16-bed Progressive Care Unit.

Charge RN will work dnder the direction of the Nursing Director, works with the Department RN Manager and RN Assistant Manager as a part of the management/leadership team to provide clinical and operational shift supervision of care processes which includes patient flow, exceptional care experiences, quality processes, patient safety, and direction of unit staff in designated service area(s). May provide direct patient care.The Surgical Specialty Unit is hiring a Charge RN for their 16-bed surgical Progressive Care Unit. This unit manages post-op surgical adult patients who require post-operative care. Our specialty services include general, urology, gynecology, gynecology/oncology, GI, podiatry, and ENT, just to name a few. Our unit features large private rooms each with standard lift equipment and bedside computers that allow physicians and nurses instant access to medical records at bedside.
