Job summary

Focused Post Acute Care Partners FPACP in Houston, TX is seeking a Charge Nurse to provide bedside nursing care under physician orders and lead licensed and non-professional staff in daily resident care. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and collaborative care within a ROCKStar-recognition culture.

Candidates must hold a current LVN or RN license, CPR certification, and be able to communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• Must have a current LVN/RN license.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or written instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with nursing standards.
• Lead licensed and non-professional staff in direct resident care and support functions.
• Plan, organize, and direct nursing functions of patients in the unit.
• Identify problems and guide personnel to solutions.
• Maintain acceptable standards of patient care.
• Follow infection-control policies and procedures.
• Communicate with patients, families, and health care team.
• Document nursing history and perform basic patient assessments.
• Develop and communicate care plans before end of duty time.
• Utilize electronic medical record charting.
