Job summary

Brentwood Terrace is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse – LVN or RN to lead care for residents. You will guide Nurse Aides, administer medications, and implement care plans in accordance with policies and physician orders.

This full‑time role requires strong communication, meticulous documentation, and the ability to respond quickly to emergencies while maintaining infection control and safety standards. RN or LVN licensure in good standing is required.

Qualifications

• Is a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in good standing.
• Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to organize workflows effectively.
• Responds efficiently to emergencies and pays attention to detail in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Direct care teams guidance to ensure resident care.
• Administer medications safely and as prescribed.
• Implement resident care plans per policies and orders.
• Deliver treatments to maintain health and comfort.
• Transcribe physician orders accurately and promptly.
• Document resident care in charts and assessments.
• Participate in shift reports for continuity of care.
• Educate staff on nursing policies and procedures.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
• Address staffing shortages by arranging replacements.
