Job summary

Hireology is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse – LVN or RN to oversee direct care teams and ensure high-quality resident care in our facility in DeSoto, TX.

As a Charge Nurse, you will administer medications, implement care plans, document care, and mentor nursing staff while maintaining compliance with policies and regulations. RN or LVN licenses in good standing are required.

Qualifications

• Active RN or LVN license in good standing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize workflows and manage emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Direct Care Teams: guide Nurse Aides to ensure resident care.
• Administer Medications as prescribed.
• Implement Care Plans per policies and physician orders.
• Perform Treatments to support resident health and comfort.
• Transcribe Orders accurately and promptly.
• Document Resident Care and complete nursing assessments.
• Collaborate during Shift Reports for continuity of care.
• Educate Staff on nursing policies and resident needs.
• Maintain Safety Standards and infection control practices.
• Address Staffing Needs by coordinating replacements.

Your Impact as a Charge Nurse – LVN or RN

In this role, you will:

• Direct Care Teams: Provide guidance to Nurse Aides to ensure appropriate care for residents.

• Administer Medications: Properly and safely administer resident medications as prescribed.

• Implement Care Plans: Execute resident care plans in compliance with company policies, federal guidelines, and physician orders.

• Perform Treatments: Deliver treatments as required to ensure resident health and comfort.

• Transcribe Orders: Accurately and promptly transcribe physician orders.

• Document Resident Care: Maintain timely and accurate documentation in resident charts and complete required nursing assessments.

• Collaborate During Shift Reports: Participate in shift reports to ensure seamless communication and care continuity.

• Educate Support Staff: Implement nursing policies and procedures, educating staff on the care needs of residents.

• Maintain Safety Standards: Promote a safe working environment by complying with infection control and body mechanic procedures.

• Address Staffing Needs: Respond to staffing shortages by arranging for replacement staff as necessary.
