Care Initiatives is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our nursing team as a Charge Nurse. The role emphasizes clinical leadership, coordinating resident care, and providing high-quality nursing services in our Iowa facilities.

The LPN will conduct assessments, administer medications, mentor CNAs, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while maintaining compassionate, resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in the state of Iowa.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Ability to obtain State-approved LPN Supervisory Course within 90 days of employment.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing assessments of residents' clinical status, including vital signs and condition changes.
• Deliver and oversee direct nursing care, including wound treatments and IV therapy where permitted.
• Administer medications and prescribed treatments safely with proper documentation.
