Job summary

Americare Senior Living in Marceline, MO is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (LPN) to provide frontline clinical leadership and exceptional resident care within our skilled nursing community.

You will oversee nursing services during assigned shifts, supervise caregiving teams, administer medications, document care, and communicate changes to families and physicians while upholding state, federal, and Americare standards.

Qualifications

Current LPN license in good standing.
Experience in skilled nursing preferred.
Ability to supervise nursing staff and coordinate care.

Responsibilities

Oversee nursing services, administration, and clinical supervision during assigned shifts.
Ensure compliance with nursing care standards, policies and procedures.
Supervise and guide nursing staff, including LPNs, CNAs, and CMAs.
Complete and update resident assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation as needed.
Communicate changes in resident condition to families, physicians and nursing leadership.
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols.
Conduct routine rounds to ensure resident needs are being met.

You’ll serve as a key clinical resource, supporting care delivery and fostering a safe, respectful environment.

Summary

The Charge Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing clinical oversight and supervision of nursing care during assigned shifts to ensure quality outcomes and regulatory compliance.

This role guides nursing staff, administers medications and treatments, maintains accurate documentation, and serves as a central communicator between residents, families, providers, and leadership.
