Job summary

Americare Senior Living in Springfield, MO is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (LPN) to provide frontline clinical leadership in our Skilled Nursing community. You will oversee nursing services during assigned shifts, supervise care teams, and ensure resident care meets state, federal, and Americare standards.

This role supports care delivery, mentors staff, administers medications, maintains documentation, and serves as a key resource for residents, families, and physicians.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license required.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing services and clinical supervision during assigned shifts.
• Ensure compliance with nursing care standards, policies, and procedures.
• Supervise and guide nursing staff including LPNs, CNAs, and CMAs.
• Complete and update resident assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to families, physicians, and leadership.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols.
• Conduct routine rounds to ensure resident needs are met.
• Address and report incidents and concerns, including abuse or neglect.

Your Role as the Charge Nurse (LPN)

Americare Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (LPN) to provide frontline clinical leadership and exceptional resident care within our skilled nursing community. In this role, you'll oversee nursing services during assigned shifts, supervise caregiving teams, and ensure residents' needs are met with professionalism, compassion, and compliance with state, federal, and Americare standards. You'll serve as a key clinical resource, supporting care delivery and fostering a safe, respectful environment.

Summary

The Charge Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing clinical oversight and supervision of nursing care during assigned shifts to ensure quality outcomes and regulatory compliance. This role guides nursing staff, administers medications and treatments, maintains accurate documentation, and serves as a central communicator between residents, families, providers, and leadership.

What You Bring

Licensure / Certification

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required

Experience & Skills

• Familiarity with state and federal nursing regulations


• Strong communication, leadership, and clinical judgment skills


• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or senior living preferred
