Americare Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (LPN) to provide frontline clinical leadership and exceptional resident care within our skilled nursing community in Dexter, Missouri.

You’ll oversee nursing services during assigned shifts, supervise caregiving teams, administer medications, maintain documentation, and ensure regulatory compliance while upholding Americare’s mission and values. This part-time, on-site role offers meaningful impact and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license required.
• Familiarity with state and federal nursing regulations.
• Strong communication, leadership and clinical judgment skills.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care or senior living preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing services, administration and clinical supervision during assigned shifts.
• Ensure compliance with nursing care standards, policies and procedures.
• Supervise and guide nursing staff including LPNs, CNAs and CMAs.
• Complete and update resident assessments, care plans and clinical documentation.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to families, physicians and leadership.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols.
• Conduct routine rounds to assess resident needs.
• Document and report incidents, accidents and concerns.
• Ensure supplies, equipment and medications are available and communicated to leadership.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote quality care and resident safety.

Your Role as the Charge Nurse (LPN)

Americare Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (LPN) to provide frontline clinical leadership and exceptional resident care within our skilled nursing community.

In this role, you’ll oversee nursing services during assigned shifts, supervise caregiving teams, and ensure residents’ needs are met with professionalism, compassion, and compliance with state, federal, and Americare standards. You’ll serve as a key clinical resource, supporting care delivery and fostering a safe, respectful environment.

The Charge Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing clinical oversight and supervision of nursing care during assigned shifts to ensure quality outcomes and regulatory compliance.

This role guides nursing staff, administers medications and treatments, maintains accurate documentation, and serves as a central communicator between residents, families, providers, and leadership.

This Role May Also Be Known As

Charge Nurse (LPN), LPN Supervisor, Floor Nurse (LPN), Shift Supervisor (LPN), or Licensed Practical Nurse – Charge Role.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring

Licensure / Certification
