Job summary

Americare Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (LPN) to provide frontline clinical leadership and high-quality resident care in our skilled nursing community in Centralia, MO.

You will oversee nursing services during shifts, supervise care teams, and ensure residents receive compassionate, compliant care. A current LPN license and strong leadership are required to support our mission and values.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing services during assigned shifts.
• Supervise caregiving staff including LPNs, CNAs, and CMAs.
• Complete and update resident assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to families, physicians, and leadership.
• Ensure compliance with nursing care standards, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote quality care and resident safety.

Shifts Available: Evening, or Nights, with alternate weekends

Employment Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, or PRN

Pay: LPN Charge Nurse $28 an hour, plus Night and Evening Differentials up to $31

What You’ll Do

• Oversee nursing services, administration, and clinical supervision during assigned shifts
• Ensure compliance with nursing care standards, policies, and procedures
• Supervise and guide nursing staff, including LPNs, CNAs, and CMAs
• Complete and update resident assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation as needed
• Communicate changes in resident condition to families, physicians, and nursing leadership
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols
• Conduct routine rounds to ensure resident needs are being met
• Address, document, and report incidents, accidents, and concerns, including suspected abuse or neglect
• Ensure appropriate supplies, equipment, and medications are available and communicated to leadership
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote quality care and resident safety

What You Bring

Licensure / Certification

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required

Experience & Skills

• Familiarity with state and federal nursing regulations
• Strong communication, leadership, and clinical judgment skills
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or senior living preferred

Physical Demands

• Lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as needed
