Job summary

UCHealth's Medical Center of the Rockies Emergency Department in Loveland, CO, seeks an RN with leadership experience to provide shift-based supervision and direct patient care in a Level I Trauma Center. You will mentor staff, adjust staffing, ensure safety, and coordinate admissions, transfers, and clinical operations in a high-acuity environment.

The role requires RN licensure, ACLS/TNCC/ATCN, ENPC within set timelines, BLS, and a BSN within three years of hire.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with state licensure.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing within three years of assuming the Charge RN position.
• Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC or ATCN, ENPC within specified times.
• BLS through AHA or Red Cross.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing leadership for a shift and unit.
• Supervise and mentor staff, determine staffing, and assign; manage census and acuity.
• Provide direct patient care as needed and assist with problem-solving.
• Evaluate patient care and address issues affecting outcomes; respond to complaints.
• Perform admissions/discharges and coordinate transfers; ensure staff have equipment and supplies.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
