Job summary

Doverwood in Ohio is seeking a Charge Nurse Leader to provide direct patient care on the nursing units and oversee nurse aides, ensuring excellent care delivery and resident and family satisfaction. This role supports staff and promotes quality outcomes in a state-of-the-art skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and have a current license in the state in which you practice.
• Maintains licensure (CE requirements) and CPR certification.
• Desires to work with elderly residents and collaborate with families.

Responsibilities

• Assists in total patient care within the nursing unit and manages the unit.
• Provides direct nursing care to the patients.
• Carries out administrative and patient care duties as directed by the ADON or DON.
• Supervises and assumes responsibility for the actions and care delivered by the nurse aides, including adherence to policies and procedures.
• Administers medication and treatment per physician orders specific to the patient.
• Instructs and observes care as implemented per physician/clinician or standard practice; assists admissions and discharges.
