Job summary

Redlands Community Hospital seeks a Charge Nurse to coordinate care for multiple patients and lead nursing staff in the unit. The role collaborates with other disciplines to ensure safe, efficient patient care and uses independent judgment to guide activities within the department.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license, with 3–5 years in the assigned service area and preferred BSN/MSN; basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program.
• Three to five years of relevant experience in the assigned service area preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in the clinical area, and leadership ability preferred.
• Basic knowledge of computer (Word, Excel, and e-mail functions).
• BSN preferred, MSN desired.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for multiple patients and assign nursing personnel based on skill, experience and acuity.
• Lead the care delivery of the nursing unit in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure safe and effective patient care delivery.
• Serve as resource and coordinate all activities within the department, using independent judgment to ensure compliance.
