The Charge Nurse at Carondelet St. Joseph's Hospital in Tucson, part of Tenet Healthcare, leads nursing staff, coordinates patient care, and supports the nurse manager to ensure smooth unit operations.

This role requires strong clinical leadership, the ability to assign tasks, monitor patient care quality, and mentor staff while maintaining exceptional patient service on a busy unit. You will participate in staffing decisions, quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with nursing

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
• Experience: 1 year clinical RN experience required
• Licensure/Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, NIHSS or equivalent

Responsabilités

• Supports, evaluates, prioritizes and supervises patient care and unit needs during assigned shift.
• Serves as designee for unit matters in nurse manager/director absence.
• Makes assignments for staff to meet patient care needs and for incoming patients.
• Monitors effectiveness and completion of unit assignments.
• Evaluates staffing by considering mix of caregivers, patient volumes, patient acuity and staff availability.
• Demonstrates timely and effective communication with team members.
• Seeks to proactively improve quality of services and patient safety initiatives.
• Implements service recovery and acts as role model for customer service.
