Job summary

Chandler Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is seeking a Charge RN in Labor and Delivery to oversee a team of frontline nurses and advocate for staff in achieving department goals.

Ideal candidates will be accountable, confident communicators, and capable of handling tough conversations while guiding the unit toward safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Associate of Nursing and current AZ RN license.
• Current American Heart Association, BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Mentors others in competency, documentation, equipment use, plan of care, National Patient Safety Goals, and participation in inservice education.
• Provides direct patient care as appropriate to meet patient and department needs.
• Evaluates care provided by staff.
• Coaches to improve care.
• Ensures standard of care is maintained.
• Understands processes for ethical dilemmas and coordinates Ethics Consult when needed.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a *Charge RN in Labor and Delivery*, you'll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in Labor and Delivery Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential, which aligns with your department's operational goals and objectives. To thrive in this role, you need to be accountable and confident. You're an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. It's also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit.

• Mentors others in areas such as competency, documentation, equipment use, plan of care, National Patient Safety Goals, and participation in inservice education.
• Provides direct patient care as appropriate to meet the needs of the patients and department.
• Evaluates care given by staff.
