Job summary

Dignity Health – Yavapai Regional Medical Center (DH-YRMC), now part of CommonSpirit Health, is seeking an ICU Charge Nurse to lead frontline nurses in high-acuity patient care and drive clinical excellence.

In Prescott, AZ, you will oversee unit operations, mentor staff, coordinate patient flow, and manage scheduling while upholding safety goals and quality outcomes. A relocation incentive of $10,000 is available for eligible new hires.

Qualifications

• Two years RN experience in applicable specialty and/or charge nurse role.
• AZ RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Mentor others in competency, documentation, equipment use and care planning.
• Provide direct patient care as needed to meet unit needs.
• Prepare and manage staff schedules.
• Coordinate patient flow to ensure timely, effective care.
• Demonstrate prioritization and critical thinking in emergencies.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our ICU Charge Nurse, you will help your frontline nursing team navigate the daily challenges of high-acuity patient care so they can deliver exceptional clinical outcomes and reach their full professional potential while meeting unit goals.

Every day you will oversee department operations and advocate for your fellow nurses by identifying and addressing the unique needs of your patients, staff, and unit. You'll be expected to drive clinical excellence, manage overall unit performance, and confidently lead both 1:1 interactions and group communications.

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate high personal accountability, exceptional communication skills, and the confidence to navigate tough conversations to ensure staff and unit accountability.

• Mentors others in areas such as competency, documentation, equipment use, plan of care, National Patient Safety Goals, and participation in inservice education
• Coaches to improve careProvides direct patient care as appropriate to meet the needs of the patients and department
• Prepares work schedules, assigns personnel
• Coordinates patient flow on the unit to facilitate the provision of timely and effective care
• Demonstrates appropriate prioritization and critical thinking skills in critical situations

We are offering $10,000 in relocation assistance to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

Job Requirements

Required

• Two (2) years RN experience within applicable clinical specialty and/or charge nurse experience
• AZ RN license
• AHA BLS and ACLS
• Associate's degree of Nursing or foreign equivalent

Preferred

• CVICU experience or Critical Care Charge Nurse
• Bachelor's Degree of Nursing
• Certification in Specialty

$42.85 - $63.77 /hour
