Job summary

Duke University Health System is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to provide professional care at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. You will work onsite, plan and implement patient care, and lead a unit as needed. Strong teamwork and communication are essential to support high quality patient outcomes.

Requires BSN, NC RN licensure, and minimum 12 months of clinical experience, with BLS. Relocation assistance may be available for eligible hires.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited BSN program.
• Current NC RN licensure; BLS required.
• Twelve months of clinical experience.
• Specialty areas may require additional certifications (Wound Ostomy, Diabetes).

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing care per physician orders and policies.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans and document patient data.
• Act as team leader or charge nurse for a group of patients or unit.
• Maintain resource use and cleanliness; report care quality improvements.
• Assist in policy implementation and other related duties.
