Community Health System is seeking a Charge Nurse to oversee daily clinical operations and support the care team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care in a busy unit.

You will coordinate patient flow, guide staff assignments, and uphold patient safety and regulatory standards, while growing leadership skills in a team‑oriented environment.

Competenze

• High School Diploma, HSE, or CHS IEP Certificate required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• At least 2 years of experience as a staff nurse in Stepdown ICU
• 6 months of experience as a Relief Charge RN or in a team leadership role required
• RN - Current and valid California license required
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer
• Certifications as required for the unit

Responsibilities

As a Charge Nurse at Community Health System, you oversee daily clinical operations and support your care team to ensure safe, high quality patient care. You serve as the main liaison for your assigned area, working with physicians, staff, patients and families. You’ll coordinate patient flow, guide staff assignments and take responsibility for patient safety, quality and regulatory activities across the unit. Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE), or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience as a staff nurse in Stepdown ICU
• 6 months of experience as a Relief Charge RN or in a team leadership role required

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Certifications as required for the unit
• Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer
