BJC HealthCare System is seeking a Full-Time Charge MRI Radiology Technologist for the overnight shift at Barnes-Jewish Hospital Center for Advanced Medicine in St. Louis, MO. This role requires RT(R) and/or MR certification, an associate degree, and offers four 10-hour shifts per week with no call or weekends.

Experience as a lead/supervisor and ARMRIT/ARRT certifications are beneficial. The department uses advanced imaging modalities and collaborates with senior radiologists in a magnet

Formación

• Associate degree or trade school equivalency (or higher level of education).
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R) and/or MR.
• 2 years’ experience.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
• Oversees shift operations to include daily workflow, assignments, lunch schedules, and adjusts priorities and assignments to best meet department needs. Enters/escalates IT and equipment tickets.
• Serves as the clinical resource and expert for the technologists. Their responsibilities include but are not limited to: problem solving, assisting with difficult exams, and mentoring.
• Serves as the clinical liaison between the team and supervisor. Ensures that proper information is communicated from the team and escalated to the supervisor appropriately. Maintains/orders necessary supplies for department needs.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose: Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as MRI,CT, IVR, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catherization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control. Assists staff technologist in prioritizing and problem solving patient care or imaging issues, and serves as a resource person. Delegates tasks to ensure proper daily operations. Assumes responsibilities of supervisor in their absence. Assists in the development and training of students and/or new employees. Provides continuing mentorship to adv. mod tech, adv. mod senior tech, and Adv. Mod CI.
