Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center (St. Louis, MO) seeks a Full-Time Charge MRI Technologist for the Operating Room on the day shift.

This advanced modality role includes a three-month training period on the day shift before moving to a 3 days/week rotating schedule, with no on-call requirements and benefits eligibility. Required: ARRT/ARMRIT or related certifications, 2+ years radiology experience, and an associate degree or higher in a related field; Siemens MRI

Responsabilidades

• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
• Oversees shift operations to include daily workflow, assignments, lunch schedules, and adjusts priorities and assignments to best meet department needs.
• Serves as the clinical resource and expert for the technologists; mentors staff.
• Maintains orders and supplies; escalates IT and equipment tickets as needed.

Position Details:

• NO CALL!!!
• Day Shift Hours: 3 days per week at 12 hour shifts
• Full-Time – 40 Hours per Week

• Training for position will be on day shift at 5 days per week for about 3 months before moving to the 3 days per week rotating schedule

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as MRI,CT, IVR, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catherization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.. Assists staff technologist in prioritizing and problem solving patient care or imaging issues, and serves as a resource person. Delegates tasks to ensure proper daily operations. Assumes responsibilities of supervisor in their absence. Assists in the development and training of students and/or new employees. Provides continuing mentorship to adv. mod tech, adv. mod senior tech, and Adv. Mod CI.

• Oversees shift operations to include daily workflow, assignments, lunch schedules, and adjusts priorities and assignments to best meet department needs. Enters/escalates IT and equipment tickets.
• Serves as the clinical resource and expert for the technologists. Their responsibilities include but are not limited to: problem solving, assisting with difficult exams, and mentoring.
• Serves as the clinical liaison between the team and supervisor. Ensures that proper information is communicated from the team and escalated to the supervisor appropriately. Maintains/orders necessary supplies for department needs.
