Job summary

LNCsearch is seeking an experienced Charge Entry Specialist to join its Revenue Cycle team. This role focuses on accurate charge capture, coding review, and timely claim submission for ophthalmology services.

The ideal candidate will review provider documentation, validate charges against CPT/ICD-10, and enter charges into the practice management system with high accuracy, while supporting provider collaboration and compliant reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of charge entry, coding, or medical billing experience (Ophthalmology preferred).
• Experience reviewing physician documentation and translating clinical notes into billable charges.
• Experience with charge entry and claim submission processes.

Responsibilities

• Review physician documentation and operative notes to ensure accurate charge capture.
• Verify CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and modifier selection for ophthalmology services and procedures.
• Enter charges into the practice management system with a high degree of accuracy.
• Review charges against provider documentation and identify discrepancies prior to claim submission.
• Submit clean claims to payers in a timely manner.
• Resolve charge-related edits and work queues as assigned.
• Maintain compliance with coding guidelines, payer requirements, and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with providers and revenue cycle staff to support accurate reimbursement.

A growing MSO affiliated with a nationally recognized eye care organization is seeking an experienced Charge Entry Specialist to join its Revenue Cycle team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate charge capture, coding review, and claim submission for ophthalmology services and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience reviewing provider documentation, validating charges, and submitting clean claims while maintaining a high level of accuracy and productivity.
