Job summary

Boston Medical Center seeks a leader to direct development, coordination, and oversight of the charge defense master and revenue integrity functions. The role interfaces with Executive Director of Revenue Cycle and hospital departments to ensure accurate charging, billing, and reimbursement aligned with payer guidelines.

Required experience includes 3–5 years in CDM leadership and Epic CDM/Resolute/Billing knowledge; CPC-H/CPC/RHIT certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance or Healthcare Administration.
• Master’s degree preferred (including RN, NP, PA).
• Clinical background as RN, NP, or PA preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of clinical experience or 3–5 years in CDM revenue cycle processes.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees revenue integrity functions to support accurate charge capture, billing, reimbursement, and revenue cycle performance.
• Monitors charge capture, pre-bill edits, charge reconciliation, and revenue integrity reviews to reduce denials and rework.
• Leads CDM maintenance activities and ensures updates align with CPT/HCPCS and payer rules.
• Maintains and optimizes the Charge Description Master (CDM) and coordinates with Epic applications and departments to support accurate charge generation.
• Develops tools and reports to identify lost revenue and opportunities for improvement.
