Job summary

Sunrise Group is seeking a Charge Analysis Associate to manage daily charge audits and accurate CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS coding. You will submit clean claims and resolve clearinghouse rejections to keep the billing workflow moving smoothly.

With 3+ years in medical billing, you will stay updated on coding rules and collaborate with the billing team, contributing to efficient revenue cycle management in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of medical billing and coding in healthcare
• Strong understanding of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, submission workflows and clearinghouse rejection handling
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in code assignment
• Experience with Apero or similar clearinghouse/practice management software preferred
• Sleep Medicine and/or DME billing experience preferred
• Certification (CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA) a plus but not required
• Genuine interest in sleep health and helping people improve wellbeing

Responsibilities

• Perform daily charge audits, review documentation for accurate coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
• Verify charges align with payer rules and medical necessity before submission
• Identify and correct coding discrepancies before claims are sent
• Submit clean claims daily through Apero and the clearinghouse
• Monitor rejection queues and resolve timely-filing issues
• Correct and resubmit rejected claims through to acceptance
• Stay current on coding updates and payer policy changes
• Collaborate with Medical Billing Associates and Team Lead on patterns
