Job summary

The Fox C-6 School District is seeking a part-time Character Kids Club (CKC) Aide at an Arnold location to help supervise children and support day-to-day CKC operations. The role involves engaging with children, assisting with lesson planning, and communicating with families.

Immediate start with compensation of $15.98 per hour. The Aide will report to the CKC Site Coordinator and CKC Program Director, participate in staff meetings, and substitute at other CKC sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to execute delegated tasks such as lesson planning, maintaining student records, and CKC supplies inventory.
• Experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children in CKC care.
• Provide a safe, fun environment with group management and safety precautions.
• Assist Site Coordinator with weekly tuition collections.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Substitute at alternate CKC locations as needed.
• Make observations and provide operational recommendations for the CKC program.
• Maintain open communication with parents and families via daily chats and CKC communications.
• Assist with receiving registrations and CKC paperwork.
• Use district forms for reporting incidents and behavior.
• Report any incidents or suspected child abuse to CKC program director.
• Maintain neat appearance per Fox C-6 and CKC dress code.
• Keep CKC location clean and organized.
• Assist in integrating Character Education into CKC activities.
• Perform other CKC duties as assigned.

Job Description

POSITION TITLE: Character Kids Club (CKC) Aide

STATUS: Part-Time, or Part-Time +20; 9 or 12 month Classified Position; Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Character Kids Club (CKC) Site Coordinator & CKC Program Director

POSITION SUMMARY: To assist in maintaining all aspects of day to day operations within the Character Kids Club location of a particular school, including the supervision and attendance of children, lesson planning and actively engaging with children.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise children in the care of Character Kids Club.
• Provide a safe, fun environment for children through group management, behavior management and established safety precautions.
• Assist the Site Coordinator with the collections of weekly tuition.
• Participate in all required staff meetings, and trainings.
• Substitute at alternate locations when needed at the request of the CKC Program Director.
• Make observations and recommendations regularly as to the operations of the Character Kids Club Program.
• Maintain open communication with parents/families through daily conversation, keeping the parent board/table current, following the CKC website, and reviewing any email, mail, correspondence pertinent to Character Kids Club and the families enrolled.
• Assist Site Coordinator in receiving registration forms and any other pertinent CKC paperwork.
• Utilize appropriate district forms for reporting incidents, accidents, and behavior reports.
• Report any incident or suspicion of child abuse to the Character Kids Club program Director.
• Keep a neat and clean appearance in accordance to the Fox C-6 and Character Kids Club dress code.
• Maintain a clean and organized CKC location.
• Assist the Site Coordinator in integrating Character Education into the planned activities at the CKC location.
• All other assigned responsibilities related to the Character Kids Club Program.
