Cooley LLP in New York invites associates with 3–6 years of experience in a leading law firm to join the Business Restructuring & Reorganization practice based in the New York office. Ideal candidates will have bankruptcy and restructuring experience representing corporate debtors, creditors committees, individual creditors, and third party purchasers, with potential clerkship for a bankruptcy judge.

The expected annual pay range for this position is $260,000-$390,000.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience at a leading law firm handling Chapter 11 bankruptcies and restructurings.
• Experience representing corporate debtors, creditors committees, individual creditors, and third party purchasers.
• Experience in a corporate restructuring/bankruptcy department or clerking for a bankruptcy judge.
• High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day requirements and workflow across bankruptcy matters.
• Handle client relationships and coordinate with multiple stakeholders at various stages.
• Contribute to strategic planning for debtors, creditors committees, and purchasers.
