Jones Walker LLP is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Paralegal to join our Houston, Miami, or New Orleans office. This position supports attorneys across the Firm’s Bankruptcy Team on complex Chapter 11 matters and offers the opportunity to work closely with nationally recognized practitioners in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Three years paralegal experience with Chapter 11 exposure.
• Strong understanding of federal bankruptcy rules, procedures and court practices.
• Proficiency with CM/ECF, PACER, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.

Responsabilités

• Assist attorneys in all phases of Chapter 11 from inception to confirmation and post-confirmation.
• Prepare, review, and file petitions, schedules, notices, motions, proofs of claim, and other documents using CM/ECF.
• Conduct research using PACER and other court databases.
• Monitor case dockets, deadlines, and calendars.
• Organize and maintain case files, pleadings, and exhibits.
• Coordinate communications among attorneys, clients, courts, trustees, and others.
• Assist in hearings, trials, and 341 meetings, including exhibits and summaries.
• Track deadlines and follow up on outstanding items.
• Record time and maintain billing documentation.
