Job summary

Tower Health is seeking a Chaplain to provide spiritual care to staff, patients, and families in accordance with policy. The role collaborates with clinical teams to assess religious and cultural needs and deliver care respectful of diversity.

When permitted, chaplains engage with the patient or family’s religious leader to coordinate care. The chaplain supports Tower Health's mission of compassionate, high‑quality care.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree is required or combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Master's Degree
• One unit of CPE must be completed

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual care to staff, patients, and families according to established policy and protocol.
• Assess spiritual, religious, and cultural needs of patients and families and plan respectful care.
• Coordinate care with the patient or family’s religious leader when permission is given.

• A Chaplain in the Department of Chaplaincy Services provides spiritual care and support to staff, patients, and their families according to established policy and protocol.
• A Chaplain works in concert with other clinical staff to assess the spiritual, religious and cultural needs of patients and their families and plan and provide care respectful of religious and cultural diversity.
• A Chaplain involves and coordinates care with the patient or family's religious leader when permission to do so is given.
• Chaplains work to interpret and fulfill the Hospital's mission to provide compassionate, high-quality care.
• Chaplains must complete one unit of CPE.
