Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Chaplain Resident 1 to provide compassionate spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and staff within Women and Children Services. This role works as part of an interdisciplinary team to address spiritual needs and coordinate religious services.

The position requires CPE participation and ongoing pastoral development, with opportunities to engage in board certification activities and growth within a major healthcare system in Texas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in theology or related field required.
• Less than 1 year of experience required.
• ACPE certified units preferred but not required at minimum.

Responsibilities

• Fulfils CPE requirements; continues professional development of behavior-based competencies in the delivery of spiritual care services.
• Organizes, promotes, and conducts religious services for patients, families, and staff, including weekly worship and bereavement needs.
• Works with the Professional Chaplain in providing spiritual care within interdisciplinary teams.
• Supports end-of-life care for patients by offering spiritual support and counseling to patients and families.
