The Chaplain Residency is designed to complete three (3) units of Clinical Pastoral Education while providing and developing competency in addressing the spiritual, emotional and relational health needs of patients, their loved ones, and the hospital staff.

Exhibits empathy, interpersonal skills and analytical ability to assess spiritual needs and to provide assistance in complex moral, spiritual and ethical matters.
Care background with a basic working knowledge of theology, cosmology, spirituality, interpretation of sacred writings, human behavior and spiritual care skills to allow engagement in spiritual care encounters from which to develop increased skill and competence as a spiritual care provider.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to be detail oriented and to multi-task/prioritize work.
