Job summary

Providence is seeking a Chaplain to deliver professional spiritual care across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. The role supports the mission and values of the Department of Spiritual Health Services and travels to visit participants in Kent and surrounding areas.

This position requires a Master’s in Theology or related field, four CPE units, and National Chaplain Certification within three years of hire.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry or relevant religious studies.
• Four clinical pastoral education units.
• Within 3 years of hire: National Chaplain Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional spiritual care and ministry in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
• Act as a member of the healthcare team and uphold the mission, values, policies, and procedures of Spiritual Health Services and the facility.
• Travel to visit participants in the Kent and surrounding areas.

Job description

Schedule: 20 hours/week on weekdays day shift

This role will be traveling to visit participants in the Kent and surrounding areas.

The Chaplain provides professional and competent spiritual care ministry, and is responsible for serving the spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of others in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. As a member of the healthcare team, the chaplain is directly responsible for the implementation of the mission, values, polices, and procedures of the Department of Spiritual Health Services and the facility in which they serve.

Required Qualifications:
