Job summary

Halifax Health is seeking a Chaplain for Palliative Care to assess spiritual needs and contribute to the interdisciplinary plan of care to improve quality of life for patients and families. The role covers Halifax Health Daytona, Port Orange and Deltona hospitals.

Candidates should hold a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) and be affiliated with the College of Chaplains, with at least one basic CPE unit. A health‑care background and driving license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master of Divinity (M.Div.) required.
• Member of the College of Chaplains.
• One basic unit of CPE completed.
• Affiliated by a recognized religious organization.
• Health care experience preferred.
• Valid driving license and good driving record.
• Strong assessment skills including crisis intervention.
• Ability to work within the interdisciplinary team framework.
• Organization, time-management, and self awareness.
• Provide and document spiritual care assessments.

The Chaplain will be responsible for the spiritual care assessment and participate in the development of the interdisciplinary plan of care of the patient/family to assure the best quality of life.

• Masters of Divinity, M.Div., required
