Job summary

Mercy Health in Warren, OH seeks a Chaplain I for Pastoral Care at St. Joseph Warren Hospital. You will minister to patients, families and staff with spiritual support, within illness and crisis, aligned to the Mission and core values.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), and CPE within the first year. 24/7 on-call with holiday/weekend coverage is expected. This is a part-time, on-site position supporting diverse faith groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (required), preferably in Religious or Theological Studies
• Master's degree in a related field (preferred)
• Commitment to complete one (1) of CPE within first year of employment

Responsibilities

• Minister to patients, families and staff around religious and spiritual needs
• Provide spiritual care and emotional support within illness, crisis, loss and death
• Provide pastoral presence with active listening and calm communication
• Support end-of-life situations and crisis events (e.g., Code Blue, Death, Trauma)
