• At least two years of healthcare chaplaincy experience.

Schedule: This is a Per Diem role providing support after hours during weekdays and on weekends.

As part of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT), our Chaplains provide spiritual counseling and emotional support to patients and families, respecting their spiritual needs and preferences. They coordinate activities related to the spiritual aspect of hospice care, ensuring alignment with agency policies.

Responsibilities include:

• Assessing the spiritual status of patients and families, communicating findings to the interdisciplinary team.
• Providing holistic spiritual care to patients and families of all faiths or non-faiths.
• Maintaining communication with the Program Director regarding client needs and care plans.
• Coordinating with hospice staff and other facilities to optimize care.
• Documenting clinical records accurately and timely, ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited seminary, theology school, or certified in pastoral ministry as required by state.
• Minimum two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (four units preferred).
• At least two years of healthcare chaplaincy experience; hospice experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to handle stressful situations involving patients and families experiencing grief.
• Proficiency in computer use and electronic medical records.
• Current CPR certification if required by state.

Pay Range: $34.00 - $35.00 per hour, based on experience and responsibilities. Final offer to be discussed at interview.
