A premier senior living community in Charlottesville, VA, is seeking an Associate Chaplain to provide pastoral care to residents. The role involves offering spiritual and emotional support, coordinating pastoral services, and facilitating spiritual programming. Candidates should have a Master of Divinity, be ordained, and hold at least five years of experience in a pastoral setting, preferably in long-term care. Qualifications
Must be ordained and in good standing with their denomination.
Minimum of five years in a pastoral setting with experience in long-term care or hospice care.
Experience in a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) setting is preferred.
Responsibilities
Provide pastoral visits to new residents and families.
Offer support to residents in hospice care and their families.
Coordinate spiritual programming opportunities for residents.
Facilitate connections for residents to their places of worship.
Participate in Care Plans and communicate effectively with the care team.
Conduct Vespers services and special worship services.
Officiate memorial services and celebrations of life.
