Responsible for providing direct patient care through spiritual assessments, prioritizing pastoral care needs, and delivering or arranging sacraments. Prepares and leads worship or memorial services sensitive to interfaith communities. Utilizes area religious leaders to address diverse spiritual needs of patients, families, and staff. Counsels, supports, and develops educational opportunities for healthcare team members. Integrates spiritual and emotional support as a core component of holistic healthcare delivery.
Bachelor’s degree in divinity, or a related field Master's degree in divinity or related field preferred
2+ years of experience in divinity, or a relevant area An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) training
This position requires intermittent sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); intermittent standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds; occasional standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; and occasional lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Also involves occasional exposure to risk of back injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials.
