Job summary

Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA is hiring a Chaplain to coordinate spiritual care for patients, families and staff across the hospital. The role covers overnights, weekends and holidays on an on-call basis, with a flexible schedule to ensure timely spiritual support.

You will develop and evaluate the spiritual plan of care through assessments, educate staff on spiritual care, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on holistic patient care and ethics decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Divinity, Theology or seminary; ordination not required.
• Certification from APC, CPSP, Neshama AJC, NACC, SCA or alignment with Common Qualifications within 3 years of employment.
• Two years related experience required.

Responsibilities

The base pay range for full-time employment is $64,833.60 - $96,928.00 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
