Job summary

Bristol Hospice seeks an experienced Hospice Chaplain to provide direct spiritual care to patients and families, and to participate in the interdisciplinary team to tailor plans of care. You will conduct spiritual assessments, document services, and collaborate with community chaplains to meet patient needs.

The role requires willingness to travel to hospice locations, flexibility in hours, and commitment to compassionate, respectful care aligned with Bristol Hospice values.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited seminary or school of theology, BD, M.Div. or equivalent theological degree preferred.
• Experience working with death and dying; hospice experience preferred.
• Must have strong communication skills and willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assure spiritual assessment of patients and families/caregivers and timely provision of appropriate services.
• Facilitate development of individualized plan of care through comprehensive spiritual assessment.
• Provide direct spiritual care to patients and families/caregivers; serve as liaison to community chaplains.
• Attend patient care conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings as part of the care plan.
