Job summary

Computacenter is seeking an ITIL Specialist to join the PIAM team in the United States. You will lead Change and Release Management while supporting ITIL functions including Asset, Change, and Release Management for a prestigious customer account.

You will chair the Change Advisory Board, review RFCs, coordinate build and deployment, and drive release strategies with a focus on system stability, security and compliance across environments.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of ITIL processes including Asset, Change and Release Management.
• Experience coordinating CABs, RFC reviews and deployment planning.

Change & Release Mgmt ITIL Specialist

About the role
This is a unique opportunity to join the Process Integration and Management (PIAM) team, in a role that goes beyond standard operations. As a PIAM Asset Management analyst, you’ll be working within a dynamic and supportive ecosystem on a prestigious customer account, supporting critical service processes.

In this role you will be the operational lead for Change and Release Management while also maintaining a strong working knowledge and assist in the delivery of key ITIL functions, including Asset Management, Change Management, and Release Management.

What you'll be doing

• Preferable experience or understanding of Change and Release Management
• Oversees the lifecycle of software or infrastructure updates
• Conduct reviews, schedule, and authorize changes through a Change Advisory Board (CAB) and coordinate build, testing, and deployment processes to ensure system stability and minimize downtime
• Review and authorize Requests for Change (RFCs) based on business value and risk.
• Chair the Change Advisory Board (CAB) to evaluate major technical modifications.
• Evaluates risks to the integrity of service environment inherent in proposed changes and change implementations (including availability, performance, security and compliance of the business services impacted).
• Assess cross-system risks, dependencies, and potential impacts on live environments.
• Maintain audit trails and documentation for all modifications to corporate infrastructure
• Plan and schedule release calendars across development, staging, and production environments.
• Coordinate build, configuration, and quality assurance testing phases before rollout.
• Define deployment strategies, including blue-green or canary rollouts, plus backup plans.
• Manage post-release reviews to analyze performance and fix deployment bottlenecks.
• Ensures implementation of information, and records management policies and standard practice, ensuring that information is protected, available and accessible, and can be retrieved as required. Complies with all relevant information and data security policies and procedure
• Identifies, evaluates and manages the adoption of appropriate release and deployment techniques, processes and tools, including automation tools, application management tools for software dependency, versioning and library/configuration control. Ensures that release and deployment processes and procedures are applied.
• Conducts post-release reviews to inform improvement to processes and procedures and keeps stakeholders informed.
• Partner with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together values.

What you have

• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Minimum o f 5 years of experience working in an enterprise IT, service management, or business environment.
• Strong working knowledge of ITIL processes, including Asset, Change, and Release Management.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Active U.S. Government security clearance preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Good knowledge and experience of SAP, MS Office and MS Teams
• Good working knowledge and understanding of Change Enablement and Release Management
• Strong communication, decision making, pro-active and stakeholder engagement skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strategic thinking and tactical execution skills
• Good knowledge of the IT industry and an understanding of IT technologies and products
