Job summary

Computacenter AG & Co. oHG is seeking a Delivery Architect to lead governance, strategy and innovation for strategic managed service customers.

You will bridge business problems and technology solutions, communicating across senior leadership and technical teams to become a trusted advisor. You’ll build and influence roadmaps, review boards, and architecture governance, ensuring service delivery aligns with standards and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in Managed Services preferred.
• Experience communicating with executive audiences across geographies.

About the role

The successful individual will be working with key strategic managed service customers to be the primary technical point of contact delivering governance, strategy and innovation. The role is pivotal in bridging the gap between business problems and technology solutions, so your ability to communicate at all levels within an organisation will be an asset as you navigate across both Computacenter and Customer environments to become a trusted advisor.

This is an extremely important, highly demanding and visible role within the organisation. You will need to have demonstrable expertise in a managed service operating model as well as the ability to holistically understand and articulate a supportable technology infrastructure and the business requirements it enables.

What you'll be doing

• Build strong influential relationships to guide customer strategy and its impacts with the aim of becoming a trusted advisor
• Be the technical voice of Computacenter at Customer technical review boards, Service Review boards and Project review boards
• Input into the strategic investments for Computacenter to meet the future customer demand
• Understand the operating model of services and technology delivered to allow you to be the technical point of contact across the infrastructure environment for both Computacenter and customer stakeholders.
• Ensure that the technology infrastructure is supportable in-line with technical standards, process and Computacenter capability
• Track and communicate the technology debt with the associated risks, issues and opportunities through a Lifecycle Roadmap and make recommendations to improve stability
• Understand business drivers, risks, Computacenter capabilities and technology evolution and transform them into a customer journey through a Service Evolution Roadmap
• Translate complex technical details, service requirements and operational constraints into clear, actionable language for customers, service teams, sales, pre-sales and leadership stakeholders.
• Architectural governance of projects to ensure managed service requirements are adhered to and change impacts are understood
• Support Sales, Solution, Service and Operational teams by reviewing proposed solutions for operational readiness, supportability, technical risk, impact and alignment to Computacenter’s capabilities
• Governance and control of the Account technical deliverables
• Ownership of architectural deliverables
• Partner with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives

What you have

• Depending on customer requirements:
• US Citizen / security vetted / legally eligible to work in the United States
• Degree in information technology, business, related field, or equivalent experience
• Managed Services experience of five years or more preferred
• Datacentre environment and/or Workplace Management - preferably 3 or more current/relevant technologies and their business application
• Experience of working within a large organisation (more than 1000 IT users)
• Strong knowledge of the IT industry and an understanding of IT operation, technologies and products
• Strategic thinking and tactical execution skills
• Proactive mindset
• Comfortable communicating with colleagues in different countries and at different levels where English is not the first spoken language
• Ability to present to large internal and external audiences from technical to senior leadership level
• Can build trust, be assertive when required and show initiative and enthusiasm
• Resilience and able to deal with stressful situations
• Business and financial acumen with strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Demonstrate an understanding of product supply chains
