Russell's Technical Products Inc. in Holland, MI is seeking a Chamber Shipping Preparation Technician for 1st shift.

This hands-on role focuses on readying environmental test chambers and related equipment for shipment, ensuring cleaning, protection, proper securing, and complete readiness for transport. You will work with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Shipping & Receiving to verify chambers are properly prepared before leaving the facility, with an emphasis on physical preparation

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, assembly, or similar hands-on experience preferred.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to use basic hand tools including reading a tape measure, hammer, impact drill, and nail gun.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently while also working effectively as part of a team.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to safely work around large equipment and in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare completed environmental test chambers for shipment per shipping instructions and checklists.
Detach, reattach, label and/or package components for shipment per requirements.
Follow detailed cleaning procedures to remove dirt, fingerprints, debris and labels.
Protect surfaces and secure doors, panels, and components for transport.
Install labels, padding, and coverings; build pallets/skids as needed.
Load pallets with product and document contents with photos or notes.
Identify and report missing, damaged, or incomplete items before release.
Perform final visual checks to ensure readiness for shipment.
Assist with rigging operations as needed.
