Job summary

George J. Priester Aviation seeks a Challenger 604 Captain (PIC) based in Pontiac, MI. The role operates within a Part 135 environment with a 3-pilot crew, domestic flights, and a rotation schedule with 350–450 annual hours.

The PIC leads flight preparation, risk management, and passenger service, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The position requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and proficiency with flight planning and aviation management software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5000 total flight hours.
• 2500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
• 2500 hours multi-engine land, with 1500 hours as multi-engine PIC.
• 2000 hours in turbine aircraft and 500 hours instrument time.
• ATP certificate with multi-engine land rating required.
• Current First-Class Medical Certificate required.
• FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Pilot in Command, ensuring safe operation of all flights and compliance with FAA regs.
• Conduct thorough pre-flight planning including weather, routing, fuel, and airworthiness checks.
• Lead CRM to coordinate crew and communicate effectively under pressure.
• Provide high level passenger service and be the primary client contact during flights.
• Engage in the Safety Management System and participate in audits and corrective actions.
• Mentor and guide First Officers and other crew members.
