Job summary

Wichita Falls Orthodontics is seeking a Chairside Orthodontic Assistant to join our team in Wichita Falls, TX. The ideal candidate has orthodontic or dental assisting experience and is willing to complete required credentials.

You will assist the orthodontist with procedures, take X-rays and impressions, maintain infection control, and help ensure a smooth clinical workflow while delivering friendly patient care.

Qualifications

• Previous orthodontic or dental assisting experience preferred.
• Applicable Texas dental assisting registration and radiography credentials, or willingness to obtain required credentials before performing duties that require them.
• Willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist with brackets, wire adjustments, and appliance delivery.
• Take dental X-rays, digital scans, and impressions as qualified.
• Help patients understand oral hygiene, treatment instructions, and appliance care.
• Prepare treatment areas, sterilize instruments, and follow infection control protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records and support an efficient clinical workflow.
• Create a welcoming, comfortable experience for patients and their families.
