Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a Dental Assistant (Chairside) to provide patient treatment in Long-Term Care Facilities, working with the DDS, clinical staff, and facility teams. You’ll assist with procedures, manage charts, maintain equipment, and coordinate with nursing staff to meet facility needs.

X-ray certification is required and 3–5 years of chairside experience are expected. This role travels within the home market (roughly 20 minutes to 2.5 hours from home).

Qualifications

• 3–5 years chairside dental assistant experience.
• X-ray certification is required.
• Valid driver's license with no recent moving violations.

Responsibilities

• Transport, set-up and take down equipment and supplies in the facility workspace.
• Work with nursing home staff to coordinate charts.
• Enter chart notes for treatment at the time of treatment.
• Maintain dental equipment through regular cleaning and maintenance routines.
• Inventory supplies and order as needed.
• Ship and receive denture cases from lab daily.
