Massanutten Resort in McGaheysville, VA seeks a Lift Operator seasonally to provide safe, efficient transportation on the chairlift. You will verify RFID passes, guide guests through the maze, and assist with loading and unloading while maintaining excellent guest service.

Requirements include being at least 18, the ability to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment, strong communication and recordkeeping, and the physical ability to lift 50+ lbs.

Formación

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent communication skills and reasoning ability.
• Able to withstand inclement weather, cold environments and stand for extended periods of time.
• Able to adhere to safety standards and procedures.
• Able to move or lift heavy objects using appropriate techniques (50+ lbs).
• Valid driver’s license and approved driving record.
• Previous experience in Ski Lift Operations.
• Working knowledge of mountain operations.
• Work over 20 or more hours per week.

Responsabilidades

• Assist all guests in the safe loading and unloading of the lift, stopping or slowing the lift as necessary for guest safety
• Answer guest questions by being familiar with Massanutten’s layout, products, service and current conditions or referring them to someone that can
• Develop and maintain required and appropriate record keeping and notify supervisor of any problems
• Maintain load and unload ramps around the lift stations by shoveling and/or raking snow
• Check that all signage is properly in place
• Other duties as assigned by management
