The role oversees a 90+ faculty department across clinical care, education, and research, guiding strategy, quality outcomes, and faculty development.

The chair will shape pediatric education, recruit and mentor faculty, and lead initiatives to expand access and strengthen partnerships regionally.

Qualifications

• Medical degree with board certification in pediatrics or related specialty.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Illinois.
• Academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
• Leadership experience in an academic medical center.
• Excellence in clinical care, education, and research.

Responsibilities

• Lead a comprehensive academic pediatric department across clinical, education, and research missions.
• Direct department clinical, operational, and financial performance with focus on quality, safety, and outcomes.
• Shape pediatric education and scholarship at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine.
• Serve on Loyola Medicine's Clinical Leadership Council and mentor faculty.
• Expand programs and partnerships to enhance regional access to pediatric care.
