Qualifications

• A medical degree and board certification in specialty are required.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Illinois.
• Academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor.

• Strong background in funded research is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a comprehensive academic pediatric department with more than 90 faculty members.
• Provide oversight for pediatric clinical services, education, research, and faculty development across a broad range of specialties and subspecialties.
• Direct department clinical, operational, and financial performance while advancing quality, safety, and patient outcomes.
• Shape the future of pediatric education and scholarship at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine.
• Serve as a key member of Loyola Medicine's Clinical Leadership Council.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop outstanding faculty while fostering a collaborative academic culture.
