Essential Job Functions: The Chair serves as the administrative leader of the department, providing strategic direction, resource management, and fostering a collaborative environment. This role is primarily administrative (75%), with some teaching and research responsibilities (25%).
Required Education: Doctoral Degree in relevant field within Marine and Environmental Sciences.
Required Experience: At least 5 years of experience in college-level teaching and grant writing; demonstrated success in securing extramural funding; leadership and management experience in higher education, including faculty development and resource management.
